About Me

Currently, I am working at Recurate, a tech-enabled resale service based in Washington, DC, where I have been since August 2022. As a Senior Software Engineer, I am responsible for managing a team of 6 front-end developers, overseeing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of final products. I have also played a key role in recruiting talented front-end developers through candidate evaluation and interviews.

In addition to my management responsibilities, I actively contribute to the development process by implementing cost-saving strategies and creating internal tools for analytics and order management, resulting in significant revenue generation for the company. I specialize in building and maintaining tools using ReactJS and NextJS and continuously seek opportunities to enhance scalability, maintainability, and visibility of applications.

Before joining Recurate, I worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Hearst, a leading global media and information company, from July 2020 to August 2022. During this time, I developed enterprise-level REST APIs and user interfaces using Vue.js and React. I adhered to development standards focused on performance, scalability, and reusability, and conducted thorough quality assurance on all new code. I also had the opportunity to architect and develop medium-sized applications independently, demonstrating my autonomy and self-direction in the design and development process.

Prior to my role at Hearst, I worked remotely as a Full Stack Developer at Lulu’s, an online retail company based in Chico, CA, from August 2018 to April 2020. Collaborating closely with designers and developers, I contributed to the implementation of complex user interfaces and new features for the main website. I also ensured high code coverage through well-documented code and unit testing. Managing work through agile methodologies and utilizing various payment options, such as Stripe, Klarna, and PayPal, were also part of my responsibilities.

Earlier in my career, I gained experience in different roles, including a Full Stack Developer at LACED Agency, where I focused on website revamping and landing page design, and a Front-End Engineer at Duro Labs, where I managed application updates, implemented new UI/UX strategies, and created features using React and Redux.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology Homeland Security from Cal State University Dominguez Hills, I have a strong educational foundation to support my practical experience. I am proficient in various technologies, including Node, NextJS, React, Typescript, AWS, JavaScript, and more. I am proactive in staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry practices, ensuring that I can tackle challenges and contribute effectively to the growth and evolution of any company I work with.
